Buses return from Cabanaconde to Huambo on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, leaving at 5:00am and arriving at 7:30am. They leave Huambo at 8pm daily and arrive in Arequipa at 3pm.

Getting to Chivay
Buses to and from Arequipa (3 hours) or Cabanaconde (2 1/2 hours) leave from the Chivay bus terminal 4 times daily. It is a 15-minute walk from the main plaza to the bus terminal. Combis and colectivo taxis are also an option and are readily available on the street corners at the market area just north of the plaza. Mountain bikes can also be rented at BiciSport at Zaramilla 112 behind the market for US 1.50 per hour or 7 dollars per day.

Getting to Cabanaconde
Buses for Chivay (2 1/2 hours) and Arequipa (6 hours) leave several times a day, but the times change frequently so make sure to check the local schedule. All buses will stop upon request at any of the towns along the main road or the southern side of the canyon.
