Lima Nightclubs
The Barranco is the best place in Lima to go club-hopping. You only have to go a few steps to find another lively place to go dancing. Miraflores also has some busy clubs near parque Central and the LarcoMar shopping center.
Tequila Rocks in Miraflores is a well-established club that plays all of the dance favorites: Ernesto Diez Canseco 146.
La Noche in Barranco is a great place to hear modern Latin hits and the occasional international favorites. The club has three stories, with different music on each floor. The cover charge is also very reasonable at $3 US.
Sargento Pimienta is a favorite dance hall among locals and visitors. They play a mix of international retro from the 70's to the 90's, plus an occasional live rock band. The enormous dance floor becomes packed at midnight and is full of people buzzing from the cheap drinks.
Live Music in Lima
In Peru you'll find two types of music: folklorica, which is popular in the highlands, and criollo, which is more coastal and more popular in Lima.
