Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni coached his squad on Monday as rumors of a starting XI began to emerge.
Lionel Scaloni will look to go 25 games unbeaten after his side’s 3-0 win over Uruguay in the World Cup qualifiers. Everyone trained on Monday except Joaquin Correa. As we reported on Monday, Correa finished the last game in sub-optimal conditions and trained separately from the rest of the squad.
Scaloni will retain a similar eleven to the one who started the last two matches. Marcos Acuña, who missed the last game, was back in training. According to TyC Sports, Gonzalo Montiel could start in place of Nahuel Molina as Molina has started the last two matches.
There are rumors that Guido Rodriguez and Alejandro Papu Gomez have chances to start the match instead of Leandro Paredes and Gio Lo Celso. Paredes and Lo Celso both started Argentina’s two World Cup qualifiers in October.
Plus, Angel Di Maria could be back in the eleven. Nicolas Gonzalez started the game against Uruguay while Di Maria came on as a substitute. Here are the eleven rumors:
Emiliano Martinez; Montiel or Molina, Romero, Otamendi, Acuña or Tagliafico; From Paul, Paredes or Guido, Lo Celso or Alejandro Papu Gomez; Messi, Lautaro Martinez, Di Maria or Nicolas Gonzalez
