Cabinet of Ministers seals visa waiver deal with Peru


The Cabinet of Ministers sealed the agreement between the governments of Ukraine and the Republic of Peru on the abolition of short-stay visas.

The relevant decision was taken at the cabinet meeting on September 22, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

According to the explanatory note, the agreement between the governments comes into force on the 30th day from the date of receipt of the last written notification of the completion by the parties of the necessary internal procedures through the diplomatic channel.

It is expected that the implementation of the agreement will intensify people-to-people contacts and increase the number of Peruvian citizens visiting Ukraine, which will have a positive impact on the development of the national tourism industry and stimulate partnerships and cooperation. in the economic, cultural, humanitarian and other fields.

As reported, on July 15, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and the Ambassador of Peru to Poland and Ukraine Alberto Efrain Wilfredo Salas Baraona signed the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the government of Peru to abolish short-stay visa requirements. .
