(Peru, Neb.) – The Peru State Football Booster Club will host its 19e annual powerlifting meet on Saturday January 22, 2022. The meet will be held at the Al Wheeler Activity Center on the College campus.
High school students in Grades 9-12 enrolled in the 2021-22 school year are eligible to compete in the competition which will follow United States powerlifting rules.
Prizes will be awarded to the top five weightlifters in each of the boys and girls weight classes. Wilke’s coefficient will determine the âLifters of the Meetâ prizes for boys and girls.
Team prizes will be awarded to the top two male teams and the top two female teams. In addition, a championship trophy will be awarded to the two best mixed teams. Last year, the Lexington teams won all three trophies.
The registration fee is $ 40 per person. For team competitions, an additional fee of $ 50 per team will be required. Each participant will receive a t-shirt with their registration fee. Each participant must sign a liability waiver form before participating.
Coaches and / or individuals must send an email with participant’s name, school and t-shirt size to the Competition Director by January 15th, to ensure receipt of the correct t-shirt size. at the arrival.
