Peruvian Foreign Minister Oscar Maurtua met the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand in Peru, Sorayut Chasombat, to discuss the main topics of the bilateral relationship.
During the meeting, held on Monday, the two authorities underlined the excellent level of strategic partnership between the two countries, which is based on political dialogue, trade, investment, cultural exchanges and scientific cooperation.
In addition, it should be noted that a framework agreement to start negotiations on a free trade agreement (FTA) was signed in 2003, making Peru the first country in the region to negotiate such an agreement with the Kingdom of Thailand.

The gathering aimed to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two nations, as well as explore new trade and investment opportunities.
Peru-Thailand bilateral relations are characterized by a diversified trade and cooperation agenda, supported by the complementarity of their economies and similarities in levels of development.
